Many of them are over one hundred years old, some even planted before the arrival of Phylloxera.

Castell d'Encus or Spanish wines touching the sky

Touching the sky

Collage bodega1 300x64 Castell dEncus or Spanish wines touching the sky

Winery

The elevation of the property (850-1000 meters), the excellent sun exposure and large wooded area around it, along with its long history make the place look a privileged and magical. The farm has an old hermit and vats of fermenting grapes carved into the rocks by the monks of the Hospitaller Order (twelfth century). The wine is fermented in different materials: wooden vats and vats of stainless steel and natural stone. With these three materials wines get very different tones and shades and great aromatic complexity. Because of our belief in preserving the environment we do not use any herbicide, insecticide or fungicide, except those permitted in organic agriculture.

Ferrer Bobet Selecció Especial in Rabat Magazine

FB SE Rabat Magazine Ferrer Bobet Selecció Especial in Rabat Magazine

Ferrer Bobet Selecció Especial 2008 was reviewed in Rabat Magazine in the Gourmet section. Federico Oldenburg gave us great news about what he calls “Nuevas joyas del vino español” i.e. “New Gems from Spain”.

Two persons behind this great Priorat project: Sergi Ferrer Salat (entrepreneur) and Raül Bobet (director of Torres Bodegas) who have shared their passion for wine in a common project. Carignan and Grenache are grown on the slopes of the Priorat to give this fine wine, with potential and distinction.
