Ponte da Boga is typified by its integrity and personality in its wines. We have gambled in on quality over any other criteria increasing our requirements. We believe in re-integrating the native varieties like the Merenzao because we believe sincerely in its potential to produce genuine, elegant wines for aficionados looking for new sensations. We also believe in research and development by investigating our soils and optimize the quality of each of our wines. We believe in Galicia its nature looking at minimizing our impact on the natural environment by our activity.
Origin
The grapes come from a single plot in Bancales, Costa Alais, in front of the winery.

Vinification
The grapes are stripped and crushed, with fermentation at 24-29° for 10 days with gentle pumping, followed by maceration for 10 days. The press wine is put out.
Ageing
Malolactic fermentation and an ageing in new 52% new and 15% 1 year barrels of French and centre European oak of 228, 300, 350, 500L during 10 months. 33% of the wine is aged in stainless steel tank thermo-regulated to keep the crispy fruit of the Mencia which is characteristic of the Alais. This wine is blended with the rest at the end of the ageing.
