Peñalba de San Esteban, is to be found at the very Eastern end of the DO Ribera del Duero, at over 900 metres above sea level. The climate is tough. Our average annual rainfall is less than 400mm. The sudden autumns soon turn to very cold winters, frost is a common visitor in spring time, but summer is hot with the occasional violent thunderstorm.

Valley extending between the towns of Atauta y Peñalba de San Esteban, and sede del Rudeles.
The vines are mostly to be found in the valley which links the two villages of Peñalba and Atauta.

Residual sugar: less than 4g/l
Vinification
Manual picking from 19 of October, strict selection of the grapes both in the vineyard and in the cellar.
Fermentation was temperature controlled at 27°,12 days of maceration.
Ageing
4,5 month in French oak followed by 2 in bottle.
Tasting notes
A very fruity and fresh wine. Nice and sweet entrance on the palate.
