La Cesta is a selection of old vines Garnacha , Cariñena (Samsó) with a supplement of tempranillo sourced in the region of Terra Alta approximately30 kmsouth of the Priorat. In this region we tend to have a high level of dry extract resulting in wines with naturally substantial amount of fruit and dark colour. Origin La Cesta comes exclusively from old vines vineyard in Terra Alta, around the golden triangle of Corbera d’Ebre, Gandesa and Vilalba dels Arcs. Grape Varieties. 50% Greanche, 40% Syrah and 10% Carignan. The average age of the vines is 50 years old. Technical data Alcohol content: 14% Acidity: 3,2 PH: 3,59 Vinification In tanks under controlled temperature. 10% of Carignan will have been in contact with oak barrels of 300l for a period of 3 to 6 months.
