Our first organic wine (second vintage) made with Grenache grape and coming from the DO Terra Alta. We select the vines grown organically located in the highest altitude areas. El Mago is our new challenge to produce an organic wine with local growers. El Mago means the wizard echoing the magic of changing grapes into wine. It is also the contraction of the name of my daughter Maya and son Hugo, my 5 years old son (modesty apart) is the master designer responsible for that unique and amazing drawing.
Origin
DO Terra Alta. The area benefits from two winds, the Cierzo, coming from the land dry and cold in winter and warm in summer and the Garbi, a sea wind more humid blowing at night, refreshing the vines, and creating a significant thermic amplitude which contributes to a good ripening of the grapes.
Grape Variety
100% Grenache

Tasting notes
Dry red wine with intense cherry colour and grenade tinges. Fresh fruits flavours, sweet spices and wild tree flavours. On the palate the wine is meaty, powerful, structured with mature tannins and candied fruits aromas. Back palate is bold and long.
